Cell Renewal or Skin Exfoliation - How to Exfoliate
Skin Exfoliation is the act of shedding of dead skin cells to to allow newer, healthier skin cells become more visible. This act is done almost on a daily basis, even when you sleep. Nature is doing its job by making sure your skin exfoliates itself without your help naturally. Scientists however found that when the dead skin cells are removed, the new cells below begin multiplying faster and skin looks fresh and rejuvenated. This is known as cell renewal.
Regular skin exfoliation over time, will increase the skin's capacity to absorb moisture, reduce fine lines and diminish acne. Even aging skin slows down the natural cellular renewal or skin exfoliation process. Stress, pollution and UV rays also tend to slow down epidermal turnover time.
When skin skin exfoliation is a naturally occurring process, most of the skin types needs assistance. When your skin type is oily, a lot of difficulty comes in exfoliating the dead skin cells as oily skin tends to saturate dead skin cells and makes it difficult for these dead cells to fall off naturally. When the skin type is dead, then the skin accumulates dead skin cells too quickly creating a dull appearance to the skin, in addition to, inhibiting effective natural skin exfoliation and needed moisture absorption. Most people's skin falls somewhere between these two skin types, but unless you have perfectly balanced skin (which is rare) almost all of us will benefit from regular skin exfoliation.
Cells from the dermis age as they move upwards. By the time they reach the surface, they are dead and shed off. These dead cells, removed from the epidermis, are extremely tiny and not visible to the naked eye. The normal cycle is about six to eight weeks.

So, I think skin exfoliation is very necessary for anyone who wants to look smart and beautiful. This can be achieved in several ways:

You can easily remove dead skin cells from your face by using a facial scrub once in a week. More frequent use can also damage your skin. Avoid very granular scrubs as they damage the skin and lead to darkening of the skin.
AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) is a fruit acids and is water-soluble. An moisturiser containing AHA can be used every day.
BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) is salicylic acid and is oil-soluble. It can be also used for skin exfoliation.
You can also use a peel-off face mask. This can be used once in three to four weeks.
You should not even try any of the above tips if you suffering from pus-filled pimples.
Want to learn the correct procedure of exfoliation?? I know you answer is yes.
